Colin Fraser
I am a Canadian architect and ceramicist whose work lives at the intersection of structure and raw earth. For me, shaping clay and designing spaces share the same fundamental root: transforming raw materials to explore form, memory, and human connection.
My creative journey has been shaped by the cultures and landscapes of Canada, the United States, Cuba, and Peru—culminating in Mexico, where I now reside. Throughout these travels, I have adapted my practice to a wide diversity of kilns, firings, and traditional techniques. Today, I base my studio in Puebla, collaborating with local artisans and utilizing historical wood-fired kilns to bring my pieces to life.
Driven by a deep fascination with architecture, archaeology, and theater, my work bridges the gap between precise design and intuitive, organic sculpture—turning internal worlds into tactile realities.
